Hi Guys!
I thought about upgrading my very slow(dead) pc this month. But my cousin told me not to and just wait about 7 or 8 months. he said you can buy 2.0 ghz, 128 mb geforce card, and other stuff at a low price than it is now.
Should i wait.
Like if someone gets a 1.6 ghz or so, and after few months there's this 3ghz......till when will these processors just go on.....
will it stop or will they just get more faster and faster
when is the best time to upgrade my pc????????

Now is always the best time. If you wait, when will the right time come? What is expensive now will cost less in a year, true - but in a year, there will be something much better. What will you do then? Will you decide to wait for that expensive equipment to become affordable? In that case, you will never get anything!

Shop for the best you can afford today and don't look back. :t

if you're not into a home-built system, in other words, you build it yourself. then go for a company that will let you upgrade it.

but I prefer homebuilt, and always choose hardware that can be upgraded. so you can get a faster cpu down the road when they come out, as long as your motherboard supports it.

If you are not satisfied with your current computer (very slow, dead as you describe), then now is the perfect time. If you wait, you could end up waiting and waiting and waiting...

Like Bill said, if you're waiting for that something to come out, you'll just end up waiting for the next something , and so on  If your PC needs an upgrade, evaluate what can make it faster and just buy it! The purpose is to fit your needs not to be the latest thing on the market :)

Now is the right time. And once you buy something, don't bother worrying if prices go down and pc's get faster. It is an unecessary stress. Just enjoy what you buy today, because it will last for quite a while. Most games and programs are designed for middle of the road sytems, or else hardly anyone would buy them.
