All my hard drives are WD's

They seem to stay quite and never get loud over time..

You left a few out. ;)

IBM just hired Hitachi to make their IDE drives. I'm sure that they will be good products.

When you count SCSI drives, there's no competition - Seagate is da winnah!

When you take a close look at those two other similar polls that we had recently, Seagate looked to be, statistically, the best overall including IDE.

Seagate and Western Digital -- i quite like my IBM 120GXP too - but the rest of their hard drives are somewhat... unreliable shall we say :p

I've had 4 IBM HDDs go bad on me.. this was back in 95.. never IBM again...

So far, WD and Maxtor have given me no problems so I vote both them in!

WD is a bit ahead on the tech curve BTW.

And seagate for SCSI+adaptec=kicka$$!
