I have a
Asus P4S533 motherboard,
What would I need to get into a SCSI 10,000 rpm hard drive?
IS the performance very noticeable from a 7200 ATA133 Drive?

Why start with a 10k drive. If you go over to storagereview.com and look on the first page. There is a offer worked out between there and Hypermicro.com that let you get a free SCSI card with the purchase of a IBM 15k SCSI drive. For only $130. plus shipping you can get a 18 gig 15k SCSI drive and card.
If you go to this thread it has some info in it. Plus I did a screen shot of one of the drives. Run HDtach on your drive and compare it to the one I posted.

The Cheetah 15k drive is only a little faster on access times and 10 meg a second faster on transfer speed. (I have one of those on RMA right now). The Seagate Cheetah 15k is $80 higher than the IBM. You have to buy a card with the Cheetah drive also.
The average person will not see the difference between eather one of them. :)
