I was wondering how to make all my video, and or media files a microsoft media player file. Some of these are quicktime or other. Is there a way to change all these on my PC to Media Player?

Jim9999 04-02-2001, 03:08 PM Just reassociate the extensions with Media Player under My Computer - View - Folder Options, then the File Types tab. What you do from there depends on what version of Windows you're running, but it's all pretty similar. Let us know if this doesn't take care of it for you. BBA 04-02-2001, 03:29 PM For MP7, just open Mediaplayer, select tools/options/formats. You can pick from there...all formats MP supports will be listed. Editing file associations is a waste of time, but can work if done properly. I find that repairing file association problems is easier if I delete the association altogether, then open the specific file type...which allows me to specify what application will be used, and therefore recreate the association automatically. Not trying to dispute what you say Jim9999, but it's much easier and more reliable this way. SysOpt.com
