So I finally went for a wireless network for my notebook.
It is a Belink WAP and PCMI card and it works great, no issues. I got it hookled up on an SMC basic router.

Anyway, I have some chocies for security but I heard that as long as you are behind a fixed router you are OK. Should I activate any of the following:

1) MAC filtering
2) 64 or 128 encription
3) changing the password for the main access manager

Thanks,

it really depends on how sensitive you feel your data is.

1) this will only allow certain network cards to access your network. this prevents people from driving up to your house with a laptop and accessing your network.

2)higher the better.

3)YES, change it. the default admin codes are common knowledge.
