I have a 733Mhz Celeron
384 Sdram RAM
A 8mb Video Card
Plenty of HD space
Win XP
Already have a fast comp, i just want to play some game on this one.

What game would run smoothly on it or "play-ably"? :)

Not half bad except for the video card.
Games:
SWAT3
AOE 1&2
Delta Force 1&2
C&C all of 'em

And a lot of other games.

If you got a better vid card you could play most games out.

I have PII400 / 384MB Ram, Win2k, Plenty of HD, and a 64MB card GF2PRO and I can most games released in the last year with the exception of:

GTA3
Morrowind
UT2K3

But I have and run fine:
BG1,2
NWN
ICewind Dale II
WCIII
Age of Mythology
SOFII
UT
Age of Empires
Starcraft
Diablo I, II
Hitman II
NOLF II
Mafia
CivIII
etc.

If you keep just a 8MB vid card you may be limited to older non 3D games that utilize sprites such as:
Old warcraft
Starcraft
diablo 1
C&C
Civ II

Even my computer from 1998 came standard with a 16MB TNT, I havent used a 8MB vid card since 1996. You can pick up a GF2 or 3 really cheap now, and it'd be like night and day with a 8MB card.

Swap out the vid for something mildly good and dirt cheap - a geforce 2 for example and you should be capable of playing any game up to the last couple of months :)

Star Wars EP1

All the half life mods should work great

Quake 3 if tweaked for the crappy video card
UT - also will need tweaking

Starcraft!

Or many others :)

(these are all good LAN games)

Me too - just spotlight do recent games - tweak aint done any game specific tweaks in ages :(
