At least u put necessary things in and don't do any damage. Got a mate who forgot to clip the HS/F on once.He was lucky it was only my old Cyrix chip I gave him a while ago.

I have that problem too sometimes, i am usually so excited that i start to forget parts, so i have put myself in the habit or writing down all the parts that i forget, like a plan if you like, helps a great deal, and it also makes you look very professional and experienced http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif.

*chuckle* A friend of mine just recently suffered a bad experiance... The heat sink on his brand new P3 (I think?) 1ghz fell off, and it kinda went *Kablewie*.
I now check my heat sink once a week. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I *used* to do that all the time until I made a checklist (when you get old, the memory goes first -- j/k!!). I've yet to be burned since I put my faithful checklist to work!
additionally, it's useful for recording the stuff inside the system like models and S/N's, etc. I tape the checklist to the sides of the cases so each computer can be troubleshot without taking the cover off, unless it *really* needs to come off!
