I have a Windows XP and a Windows 2000 computers.
I have them networked. When I need to access Windows XP it works just fine. But when I use my Windowx XP PC to access my Windows 2000 PC I always need to enter a password.
How can that be changed?
Thank you,
Futzel

make sure the usernames and passwords are identical on both computers. also check that they are in the same workgroup.

Well, when I start up windows XP I never have to enter any password at any time. However, on Windows 2000, Ihave to enter a password before it continues to boot-up.
I tried to disable that feature but then I cnanot network at all!

if you don't login to the xp system. then the password is blank. you'll have to set your win2k password blank also. You need to have matching credentials in order to access shared folders/files.
do you want your win2k system to login automatically also?

if you want to login automatically on win2k, go to start-settings-control panel-users and passwords. uncheck users must enter a user name and password. you will have to put in the default login name and password to use.
