video capture

Hi i have a geoforce 4 ti 4200 and adobe premiere. im trying to capture video from vhs onto pc. Everything is ok apart from the screen i can capture is lowered so bottom is cut out and on top is black so i cannot capture exactly what i see on video.
Any ides?

Nope i tried capturing from tv and home made video. Its like the screen is not in the right place but i cant find a setting to adjust it.

Is this a store bought vcr tape. If so your prob is piracy protection. It will do that cause it triggers the capture card saying hes ripping this off and hence black lines and or brighter and darker sequences several seconds apart.:(
