Deus Ex.

Is there really anything else which could hold a candle to it?

I'll never tire of the gameplay, the storyline, the dark and sinister futuristic techno-nightmare. The interweaving conspiracies and nature of the secret societies compells you thorugh a world where nothing is left untainted by those who would have this world for themselves. I'm gearing up to see if Deus Ex 2 can stack up to this instant classic.

And it's wierd seeing people say that games "stole my time for months!", because that isn't long for me. I've played a game called SubSpace since 1996, and still play it multiple times a week and I'm in a League there. But I guess that's the way it is with Online games. Offline games usually don't hold you over for "years". I guess I played SMB for the NES a couple weeks ago... so that would be..(lets see, got my first NES when I was in the 1st grade, and now I'm in the middle of college...) a long time!

I loved C&C Red Alert. I can still remember waiting for Christmas to come so I could get my hands on that game. It occupied a lot of my time back in the day. Hope C&C Generals can do the same.:p

I don't think I would hold my breath for Westwood anymore. Their last really good game was Red Alert 1. Everything since then has been kinda ho-hum at best.

It's one of the few games that I have beaten on the hardest mode. I've beaten it so many times, and I still find new things every time I play it.

Their Best game was Dune 2.

All of their so called "strategy" games require one skill :-

Know how to build the biggest army in the shortest time.

thats it, no skill involved what so ever, same with

AOE
AOE2
Age Of Mythology
Total Annihilation
Warcraft series
Starcraft series
etc.

Good, real strategy games are games like:

Shogun: Total War
Master Of Orion 1 + 2

Well, and medievel total war also, but its the same thing, with different units.

And i dont play starcraft for it strategic value, i play it for its replay value, its use map settings maps is the only reason i played it as long as i have.
