What does M/S Webhancer do?

My Ad-Aware scanner picked Webhancer up as spyware. This is what it says that it does:

THIS SOFTWARE CONFIDENTIALLY RELAYS YOUR WEB SURFING PERFORMANCE METRICS TO WEBHANCER CORP. TO GENERATE PERFORMANCE REPORTS FOR THIRD PARTIES. AS SUCH, YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION WILL BE USED PERIODICALLY TO SEND AND RECEIVE DATA. YOU REMAIN ANONYMOUS - NO PERSONAL OR IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IS COLLECTED - ONLY QUANTITATIVE
PERFORMANCE DATA.

It was loaded on my box from Dell. Has me a litlle confused, but I'm sure I don't like it. Thanks.

Just as it says "RELAYS YOUR WEB SURFING PERFORMANCE METRICS TO WEBHANCER CORP. TO GENERATE PERFORMANCE REPORTS FOR THIRD PARTIES"

If you have a website and you want to see how well it works for a variety of people, you can contract with WebHancer to get the performance report.

It was already gone due to OptOut, which I used prior to Ad-Aware. Get rid of it!

Appreciate it folks. I uninstalled thru Add/Remove, but it didn't remove the Webhancer apps. Kinda afraid to start deleting things at will if it's gonna screw up my net access. Any thoughts??
