I am attempting to get an answer to a couple of questions:
1. Was there a Pentium or AMD 400mhz four years ago?
2. When was the chip commercially available?
3. Can you over clock a 400mhz * 2, making an 800mhz?
I do not believe the chip existed and if so, you can't over-clock a chip speed by that amount.

The PII 400 exists..I think the PII was introduced in 1997, but the first one was like a 233. Most of the PII's had the multiplier locked..no way could one do 800..maybe 500 on a good day...

And you were very lucky to get the AMD K6-2 400 to run above 475/500.

Dual processors are good, and 2 400's would be fairly fast, but a dual 400 is nowhere near as fast as an 800. Also AMD does not and has never supported dual processors. You can overclock dual PII 400's but like he said above, 500 is about all you will get.
