Compaq Presario 5000; AMD 800 Duron;
Have a friends computer that went black; checked it as good as I could the cpu was cold, believe it has a bad motherboard. Thinking about replacing it w/ an abit KX7 333 via KT333 DDR 333 ATX This sys. has a 250 w/power S. Any thoughts or suggestions on this would be appreciated. Thanks glpops

Thinking of using the abit board in a compaq presario case? Probably a micro atx case, which is not a standard sized case. I suggest a new standard sized case with at least 300W power supply.
