is there another name the motherboard manufacters use for this wire? i have one wire left to connect to the connector and it is the wire that is connected to the light that blinks when you're opening a program or download music, etc

IDE LED is sometimes used.

I only bother plugging in the power and reset button and essential stuff - i dont bother with LED's.. -why, i do not know :confused:

I like LEDs it takes me high with lights spots lefts and righs ;) :p and the coloooours.... :x

For me having a hdd light is essential! I mean how else can you tell when your hdd is thrashing for no reason (like virus adware) or if the system stuck accessing the hdd! It happens. Now if your HDD is that loud I guess it wouldnt matter but me likes em quiet!!!:D
