mY older Brother becomes addicted to STARCRAFT after I introduced it to him. I love that game too.

But I also want to explore other games, but he just refused to try. We had given Warcraft 3 a try, that game pales in the fun factor.

does anyone know any RTS games in the league of STARCRAFT/BROODWAR?

massive units, explosive scenes are a must!

STARCRAFT / BROODWAR

is unique in that way, it's extremely fun

no RTS that've played has ever matched it, including WarCraft 3 as you have already tried.

i've had StarCraft from Day 1 that's like 7 years ago, and it's still the BEST GAME today

almost 8 year later, and Millions of people still play StarCraft in Battle.net

i'm always there too :D

i've seen searching for another game just as good since like 5 years ago, and so far no luck, every pales in comparison

i had some high hopes in WC3 but it let me down

i can't wait for StarCraft 2 in the WC3 engine :D

I never played it, but a couple of friends were really hooked on Total Annihilation. It had lots of units, and tons more you could download. It's a few years old, but you can still find it online for cheap. Might be worth a look...tough to beat a classic like Starcraft though.

are there really plans for SC2 using the WC3 engine?!?!

I have Total Anihilation, and although it's good it does not live up to be even close to the fun you get in StarCraft

I have TA, gave it plenty of tries, never found the interest. That game is flat. I also have Dark Reign, Age of Empire 1, 2. Nothing hooks.

SC 2 is in the making. Don't hold your breath, the earliest you could play it is 2005!!! I wish Blizzard could give as much effort and enthusiasm to it as they do with Warcraft series.

Allgamer, you and I should go against each other some times. I'm eager to explore new strats.

StarCraft rocks I have just started to get sick of it with more than 600 games played. It was not uncommon for me to play 2-4 games a night for awhile.

It is the best game in my book.

Hmph, for some reason I never liked Starcraft. I really liked Warcraft2, but never played it online. Starcraft just wasn't very fun;)

WC2 was great offline, never played online, SC and WC3 were both sub par. Red Alert was ok, until the tank rush ruined anything fun about it. Age of Empires was pretty fun. TA was really fun.

Maybe you should try Age of Mythologies, I haven't played it yet, but I've heards it's pretty good. And also like someone else already said, C&C Generals is going to come out soon, that looks damned good.

i'm quite fond of aoe2/expansion, its probably my most fav strategy because its built so perfectly, and I was a heavy warcraft/warcraft2 player for a long time, and I got warcraft3 and absolutely loved it... for a week :(. C&C Generals is going to be awesome and Age of Mythology is looking quite sweet as of right now too.

I like C&C don't get me wrong

but C&C series is way too easy, the AI is too dumb :D

so it lacks the challenge there even when set to INSANSE + hardest difficulty

the only upgrade in AI was with the Yuri expansion, which finally provided some challenge

specially with all those Mind control stuffs

i wonder how good is the new C&C General, kinda looking forward to it just for fun, but like every other C&C i doubt i'll play much with it after the novelty wears out

partially due the Lack of people that plays it online

StarCraft on the other hand, you find tons upon tons of excellent games everytime you go online.

that's what keeps me going back to SC :D
