NDD 11-05-2002, 12:00 AM Can you post some specs of the monitors ? PiNkMaGGiT 11-05-2002, 12:13 AM Samsung Samsung Samsung! I've already done a lot of research on this cause I too am buying a new monitor soon and I am getting the Samsung 955DF. There is an excellent review of it on Anandtech. For the price, you really can not go wrong with this monitor PiNkMaGGiT\m/:D \m/ invincible 11-05-2002, 04:39 AM here's the specification: samsung 955DF has .20mm dot pitch, 1600 x 1200 maximum @ 68hz, flatscreen CRT, 3 year warranty viewsonic has .25mm dot pitch, 1280 x 1024 maximum, flatscreen CRT, 3 year warranty I wanna get samsung 957DF instead. sandeep 11-05-2002, 05:52 AM told you so :D AllGamer 11-05-2002, 10:41 AM but ViewSonic has more life like colors than Samsung, by the way the Viewsonic 19" i use goes 1600x1200 at .22 http://www.viewsonic.com/support/crt_z90.htm#specs very good:D NDD 11-05-2002, 05:07 PM With that specs, go Samsung. Benssax 11-05-2002, 07:20 PM I have a Viewsonic 19" E90f flatscreen it does 1600X1200 @ 68hz. By the way the dot pitch you mentioned about the samsung was a horizontal dot pitch. and the one you mentioned about the viewsoinc was a diagonal dot pitch. If you go by a horizontal dot pitch the Viewsoinc is .21mm not .25mm Samsung is .20mm Cant tell a difference after a .27mm diagonal dot pitch anyway.. Get the Viewsonic E90f I love mine.. :t Benssax 11-05-2002, 07:25 PM Specs of my Viewsonic E90f flatscreen 1600X1200 @ 68hz is max .14mm (vertical) .21mm (horizontal) .25mm (diagonal) :t OpK Chowdy 11-05-2002, 08:20 PM i have a SyncMaster 955DF...man this monitor rules! and yes, you can tell the difference between .20 pitch and others. my old monitor is so **** blury! Qvark 11-07-2002, 04:25 PM But is the Samsung monitor REALLY flat as the name Dyna flat indicates ?. The DF monitors i have seen from Samsung have a curved screen behind a flat glass plate. False marketing if you ask me. That aside, Samsung makes good monitors - not as good as my G90F though :D chubtub 11-07-2002, 04:55 PM Go with the Sam it is very simple, even if it is flat or not. Kurylo 11-07-2002, 06:04 PM I have Samsung 959NF and it's very good. Buy Samsung. OK? OpK Chowdy 11-07-2002, 06:22 PM i think that my 955df is flat, but with a curved glass behind it...oh well, either way, it's the sharpest, most defined monitor i have ever seen. I got mine for $200... kinda expensive. Witch-Talon 11-07-2002, 08:46 PM Defiently SAMSUNG. As long your not gonna be staring at 1600/1200 all of the time. Otherwise Major headache coming your way. 68hz  SysOpt.com
