i was thinking of getting this, but i heard that it has problems with DDR 400 ram. would they release a patch/bios update in the future to fix this compatibility problem, or should i just get a 333 mobo.?

Since there's no guarantee that a BIOS update can fix this problem (good old VIA :rolleyes: ), I would stick with a KT3 and save some Euros. ;)

The KT400 chip really isnt worth it at the moment - do youself a favour and wait for the KT400A

Im hoping we'll see it by january at the latest, if not i'll be buying a KT333 based board rather than the vanilla KT400

if you need a new mobo now, go with the soyo dragon kt333 lite.... $80 and it's a goodie.
