Will this combo work? I think this epox 8K5A3+ is the most loaded board out there with Mp support- new egg selling them for $115 shipped is this a good deal- anybody with any ideas about this setup?:x

The 8K5A+ is the "big brother" to my 8K3A+... I love my EPoX board. Very stable, lot's of tweaks, great overclocker. I am not running an MP chip, however, here (http://www.amdforums.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=9) is a link to a great forum dedicated to EPoX mobos. I'm sure the folks there could help you out with your question.

Love my 8k3a+ board. I would have gotten the 8k5a+, but when it should have come out it was put on hold. What sucked was that a week later it came out. Oh well, really didn't need the USB2 anyway.

Oh, and yes it will work Spider. Just remember to enable the MP support in the bios. It'll be under the Advanced Bios Features.
Maybe named MP Capable bit identify

Spidey2:

Remember, the default BIOS setting has the MP chip identify disabled, so you'll have to enter BIOS to enable.

Go over here (http://direct.mwave.com/mwave/Main.hmx?UID=&CID=579841%2DMISSIVEUSA%40HOTMAIL%2ECOM&Back=) to mwave for better mainboard prices than newegg. Just as reliable, too. EPoX 8K5A3 is a great board. If you don't need a RAID array, EPoX makes non-RAID boards for less.

Good luck with that 1800MP. Samsung memory is working fine in my 8KHA+.
