CMonster 03-28-2001, 12:31 AM Sorry to say this but that controller may not yet be supported by the version of Linux you are trying to install. It has been supported as a normal UDMA IDE controller in SuSE Linux since version 7.0 but the RAID feature must be turned off. Information is here. (http://cdb.suse.de/cgi-bin/scdb?ID=98576672563&HTML=ENGLISH%2Fcdb_listtemplates%2Fshow_a.htm&INDEX=98510811728) Or you could possibly move the drive to the other controller but on the KT7 Raid (not KT7a) you would be limited to ATA66. I also know that Mandrake 7.2 can support some ATA100 controllers but you have to jump through several hoops during install in order to get Mandrake to assign the proper resources to it.
