I'm out of date! After my last build (1000 mhz T-bird, KT7-Raid, 4 30 gig ATA-100 drives) I have not kept up with how things have been going. That was a server I built for my dads company and I just finalized the network so now, I'm back in the game.

What should I use?
Unlike my last build, I am limited on the cash - My limit is at about $800... Good news, I allready have a geforce gts, sound blaster plat, and a network card. What do you'll think I should do?

I wanna build me a dual processor

Well then....I vote for the VP6 and a couple of p3 700's or 800's and push them to near gig speeds ...I love mine!

Sorry but at this time AMD need not apply as they still cant play the dually game http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Hi O'C !

I would go for the Asus CUV4X-D if you require stability before overclocking potential.

Don't misunderstand me, I am not saying that the VP6 is not a stable board. I have read a review about several dual PIII boards (Asus, Abit, Gigabyte). The VP6 was the winner for its good value for money and its overclocking potential. But, the Asus was the most reliable board.

I've just bought a CUV4X-D with a couple of PIII 1GHz... still waiting for the HD, DVD and CDRW... can't wait any longer to build it !!
