Heheh thanks... it's on my workbench here at the office, as I try and deal with the crappiness that is ECS. BIOS is buggered yet again, so I'm giving it several minutes (CMOS battery pulled and all) with the jumper in CLEAR position, to get ready to re-flash the board.

Stupid, stupid ECS... not long after I got those screenshots, the **** thing went snakey...

If the mobo keeps doing this - have you checked the battery, replaced it with a fresh un?

I threw in the towel yesterday and took it to my buddy who built the system for me. He says he'll get back to me by the end of the week. I just chuckled and said "have fun getting it to POST", and walked away.

ECS K7S5a -- widespread, because of one thing:

PRICE.

It doesn't matter if you have quality, you just need quantity!

If it breaks, make a wall mount out of it and get a new one!

Back up yet again, sticking with ME this time... 3 days without failure or lockup. Had the HSF and PSU replaced. I still hold that it's the motherboard, as I still can't do 3D rendering with D3D in Win2K. Never did try OpenGL... but for one game, I'll stick with ME and run them all.
