Right this is a bit of a weird problem, im running an Althon 1.4Ghz with 512mb DDR pc2100 and a Geforce 2 400mx. My problem is when i come to update the drivers for the graphics card they dont update. And the the performance of the computer is really effected. When it works it does about 2100 on the 3D Benchmark 2001SE when the graphics drivers dont in install it does bout 810!!!!! Ive tryed all different types of driver too from the offical nVidia website and off the Daytona site (the make of the graphics card).
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Well, it could be IRQ problem, or a dead card. Its' time to upgrade anyway. You can do better than what you have now, for less than $70 :)

Try uninstalling your old drivers and run Detonator Destroyer get
it here: http://www.guru3d.com/detonator-destroyer/
works good at getting rid of all the old drivers the unistall
leaves behind. Then install your new drivers.
Works for me:p

Is there a version of detonator destroyer for win2k? Or is it best to delete the Nvidia folder after the drivers are uninstalled?

Sorry should have posted this earlier.....)-|
From the website...
"Detonator Destroyer is the only tool that completely removes detonator drivers from your Windows 95 (All versions),Windows98,Windows 98SE,Windows ME system. It removes all versions of detonators from 6.XX up. This program does not support Windows XP yet !"
So if there is no support for XP then prob no W2k either......
Animal_Mother what number drivers are you trying to install?
Have found some documentation....
"When updating your Detonator Drivers from 30.xx to 40.41 many people have experienced problems with incompatible 30.xx files left on their PC. "

Hope this helps:D
