the Soyo Dragon 400 something. it says it has Serial IDE. how much faster is that than IDE and the 400 DDR ram... how long will it be before it is avalible cheaply?
Another addition. Is the Soyo Dragon KT400-ultra a good motherboard? like for the price, are there better ones?

Serial IDE is not really faster, but it will be easier to configure - when drives are avalable. I would leave that for a year or so. ;)
It's a good board, but EPoX, MSI, Asus and Abit have as good or better boards for less money. Soyo is not worth the premium to me.

This LINK (http://www.fticomputer.com/cgis/detail.cgi?product=MB-GA-7VAX&ses=&cat=MB), obtained through Bill's last post, is for the ga-7vax, the ga-7vaxp is $26 more at the same place.

dual bios means it has two bios chips on the board. so basically if one chip goes bad or you have a bad flash while flashing bios the other one is used as a backup and your computer starts normally. so you can reflash the chip.
