what luck, yesterday I was taken to a discount electronics store by my girlfriend's dad. so me, her dad and brother where browsing the store and on the back we saw a Huge pile of printers that where onsale for parts AS IS. He pulled out a Lexmark 1100 which is what he has in his computer and thought it would be nice to have for spare parts, and I found mysself a used ibm 104-key keboard for 3 bucks nex to the pile.
Well, I was going to get an ISA SCSI card, but he told me that if I bought the printer for him (Five Bucks, all of the where on sale for Five Bucks) that he had an ISA SCSI card that he would trade. So I said Ok, and went to pay the Cashier, and saw an USB keyboard for 8 bucks, and got that too.
Well, when we got home I plugged in the printer, looked like it was going to work fine, and he handed me an ink cartridge that he had, and when I plugged the darn printer to his pc, the **** thing worked like a charm! Not only that but the keyboard I got also worked on my PS2, so I didn't have to get a gameshark keyboard for 12 bucks more.
What luck to find a printer junked out for parts and find out that it's in mint working condition :) well, sorta mint, just missing the paper tray and the paper back rest, but hey, it works!
