I'm having an annoying problem so to speak. When I turn my firewall off for whatever reason, I occasionally get these Messenger Service popup spam boxes that are addressed to my ip address offering diplomas, money schemes and whatever. Since all the boxes are labeled "Messenger Service" I'm guessing that it's a Windows XP thing? Does anyone know what I'm talking about and how to turn this messenger service off? Or even if it's a good idea to turn it off to block these web spam boxes? I get them usually when I'm not surfing, like sitting here connected to the net and watching a movie and I get those boxes. They look a bit like alert boxes with an ok button and the X in the corner to close em, and no they aren't webpages disguised as alert box looking things, they're real windows pop up boxes.

Thank you very much! That took care of the problem. I swear these spammers will stoop to the lowest levels, ugh... Thanks again!
