Can anyone help with this, I have a cd burner and a hard drive (obviously) and I want to add a DVD drive but I am not sure how I should set the jumpers? Should I have the dvd as slave to the HDD? or should i leave the burner as a slave? Or maybe it should be the other way around?
Any help would be great
thanks

Personally I would say it depends on how you use your system (burner mainly).
If you burn lots of cd's dvd to burner then it would be best to have the setup as
HD Primary Master
DVD Primary Slave
Burner Secondary Master
whatever Secondary slave
Now if you burn mostly from HD to Burner then I would go with the above setup as well.
If you do alot of dvd ripping to HD then change it around to DVD master on Secondary
Now all this could be a mute point if you have a IDE 3 or IDE 4 interface as then you could have everything on their own Master interfaces http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
