I was wondering what order should i put my pci cards in.

This is my system specs.

Asus A7V Bios: 1007
256Mb Ram.
20.5 IBM Hard Drive
8.0 Gig Quantaum Hard Drive
PLextor 40x CDRom Drive
HP 10x4x32x CDRW
Pioneer 6x DVD Rom Drive.
Dual Boot Win98se/Win2k

This Is Currently The PCI Cards In My System.

AGP = Geforce 2 MX Video Card
Slot 1 = SBLive XGamer (NOT 5.1)
SLot 2 = Empty
Slot 3 = Tekram PCI Scsi Card
Slot 4 = Empty
Slot 5 = 3Com Nic Card

I wanted to add a Studio PCTV to My system.

Which Slot would be the best to put it in?

I don't want my computer to break down on me because all of the IRQ Conflicts it might have after installing it.

Let me know.

THanks In Advance.

Well, as long as they all work, there is really no difference in which order you put them in. Suit yourself...

same answer, di fferent slant:
if one empty slot creates an irq conflict,
try the other slot.

Hey you guys I don't know if this is possible in the US but in Europe there are programs that decode an encoded analog TV-signal.
Of course you don't use it to watch Pay-TV for free but it is the best CPU-performance benchmark I know of.
Is this possible in the US too (HBO, Showtime, ....)
(I don't have a TV-adapter for my Laptop so I never could try it out but I would like to know if ...)

Well, HBO and Showtime are pay-TV. I wish I knew a way to get it for free http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Not quite sure what you are talking about, Variale.

Any PCI slot is fine, intelglspwr. I have the same TV card, it's pretty nice http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

In Europe you can decode the encoded TV-signal on your PC (you need at least a Pentium 100MHz).
That way you can watch Pay-TV for free!
If you have a TV-Out on your PC you can also connect your VCR or normal TV!
And it is the best way to measure CPU performance since those programs are the best optimized programs that I know of!!!!!
They make 100% use of EVERYTHING your CPU can do!
