Im about to buy an IPOD =D and i was wondering if that was suitible for the firewire requirement for the ipod to transfer songs.. So, i wont have to buy a firewire card, for it.

It's a standard Firewire port. It'll work. :)

That's the beset thing about Firewire, it's faster than USB and is truely universar, with no worries about Version 1 or Version 2 :)
