I have a Gateway solo notebook. The BIOS is password protected and I have no way of finding out the password. Any ideas on how to get around this ?? The system thinks there should be a password on a floppy disk. Any assistance much appreciated.

Correct me if I am wrong but don't you just have to pull the battery out or clear the cmos with a jusmper. It would involve opening it up but it would work i think.

It IS possible to do it like that but I am not game to try pulling a notebook apart. I was hoping for a work around or some sort of
' universal ' password that will work.
