Here's the deal.....
Me and my friends are opening a website. We found a host and registered the domain name. We uploaded one page just to have it up, and all it is is a page to say we are under construction. BUT the problem is that all my partners can seem to open the page except me. What's up with that? I have AT&T @ Home Cable and have tried using IE and the @Home browser, but neither work.
If you can help me out, let me know. Thanks.
BTW: Our site is http://www.pcphreaks.com/

First get rid of that **** @home software. You don't need it and it has a habit of turning computers into piles of rubble. (Well, only after you beat it in anger after it crashes on you.) Then you might wanna update IE and see if that takes care of it.

Do I just remove the software like you would any other software? Or are there internet settings linked to the software that need to be changed first? Let me know.
And how would I update it? I think I have IE 5, but I thought I heard somewhere you can't download 5.5 for free. Let me know about that too. Thanks
(Edit) Forgot to tell you that I can't ping the site either.

I agree that the @home software is **** and you should nuke it. But that's not the problem. I can't open that URL either. Netscape, Exporer, Mozilla, doesn't matter, my DNS is not reconizing that domain as valid. I'm at work currently on PacBell DSL. I'll try again from home where I'm connected through AT&T@Home and let ya know if it works or not.

How long has it been since you signed up with the hosting provider and updated your DNS information for the domain?
not finding the site on my end... no connection established at all with that domain name.

Well my partner did all the signing up and ordering info (cuz he has the credit card) and he did it about 2 weeks ago. He signed up with the host and bought the domain name at the same time cuz the host bought it for us or something. As far as this DNS, I'm not familiar with DNS configurations. I'd have to talk to him (I'll probably see him tomorrow) and then I can get back to you on that one.

There's a under construction sign. There seems to be no index file.
As www.pcphreaks.com/index.html (http://www.pcphreaks.com/index.html) responds 'file not found'.

IE 5.5 is free, I just downloaded it from Microsoft's website. It comes with outlook express as well as some other software.
Try downloading a browser called Opera, too. It's a unique browser that's gotten great reviews.
I see the under construction sign also. When I view http://www.pcphreaks.com/index.html
the page cannot be found.
I'm using a T1 server @ a local high-school.
