It's a nice start, I guess, but as long as you're dreaming, why not a REAL hard drive?
Seagate Barracuda 180, 181.55GB, 7200rpm, 7.4ms, Ultra160 SCSI, 4mb cache, Half-height.
Or if speed is more important,
Seagate Cheetah 73 ~ 73.4GB, 5.6/6.2ms, 10000rpm, Ultra160 SCSI 4mb. Perhaps a pair!
And a Gig of RDRAM too.

ok, I need info about sound, video and all components for the dream computer, OK...
Thanks...
Guess the only way to go with sound nowadays is creative. The platinum card is nice I suppose. It does have the best support available doesn't it?
And get radeon2 for video =)

Is cost a factor here???
if not, go with a solid state hard drive, it's like a big chuck of RAM. It might be harder than **** to find one though, I've never personaly seen one. might want to look into a SCSI set-up too. And pick up about a 50in Plasma monitor for that puppy. price = about $20,000 -
