I'm building a system for a friend, and need
help finding a economical & adequate case.

I would also appreciate comments on the config

ECS K7S5A (Newegg:$54)
AMD XP2000+ (Newegg:$94)
Volcano 6Cu+ (Newegg:$12+$6)
Crucial 512MB PC133 (CT64M64S4D75) (Newegg:$59)
Western Digital 20GB 7200 (Newegg:$66)
Sony 16X DVD-ROM (Newegg:$41)
Logitech KB+Mouse (Newegg:$15+$4)
Sony Floppy (Newegg:$8+$5)
OEM ATI Radeon 7000 64DDR w/ TV (Newegg:$38+$5.50)

This is not intended to be high-end gaming machine or
any such. I was hoping to keep the budget under $400.
I was keeping the config minimal while selecting best
of class for each component.

I am already at $407.5.

I'd appreciate suggestions on case (type & source) and any other
ways of cutting costs.

Is this Rigg for Games or just General use not gaming related?

Case get any cheapo case
with good sucktion and exhaust fans 2 fans or 3 counting the PSU

if it's for Games get at least a Radeon 8500le or GeForce 3

cuz the Radeon 7000 is only good for desktop stuff, it was not made for games

is kinda like running a TNT2

Try looking at Circotech.com. They have a good selection of cases, from the flashy to the mundane. They have the best prices I have found anywhere, but beware of the shoddy ordering system. Probably should double-check your order before clicking submit.
