I'm sending my linksys WPC11 back to Linksys for warranty work. I'm told there are several other wireless PCMCIA cards that work better that this card. I'd like to hear from anyone who has used other cards. I'd entertain the idea of buying another card if it comes highly recommended. I had limited access using this linksys card and I'd like to have a wider range throughout my home.
Will appreciate any replies.
Thanks

I used a Intel Pro SET II for a while , and it worked quite well. I didn't like the fact that it stuck out of the PCMCIA slot and was kind of clumsy that way. So I switched for an internal one using the built in antenna (Dell C-610). It doesn't work as well as the Intell did. I thought it would be better because the antenna goes around the screen bezel apparently, but actually it has less range. But I have the PCMCIA slot back for other things again, and its all hidden now so that it good I suppose.

The Netgear MA401 is great. I use it all the time, and get a great signal. It has a rebate thru 12.31.02 at buy.com (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10277743&loc=101). It's $47.95 after rebate.
If you want top of the line, go with Orinoco Gold. $68.86 at buy.com (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10324157&hdwt=30704&loc=101).
I am definitely happy with my Netgear card, though. My router is the Netgear MR314 which was $69.99 after rebate at CompUSA.com (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product%5Fcode=290277&csearch=).
