Variable 03-23-2001, 10:06 AM Hey mods what's up??? I even emailed you.... Steve R Jones 03-23-2001, 10:35 AM Works for me. I just searched on Your userID for the last five days. You have 6 threads counting this one. Its kind of slow but it worked. Are you getting errors? Give us an example of what your searching for? Fingers 03-23-2001, 11:57 AM It's broken alright... it's been that way as long as I've been a member, but it has really gotten bad lately. example; Here is the title of a thread that was started on 3/15/2001. Error message in ramdrive I can't figure-help me and here's the first line in the message body. I Get this message when starting RAMDrive after I select "start comp. w/ CD rom support" this shows up ERROR "PCI READ CONFIGURATION " Try using the SysOpt's Search Page to find that thread using any of the words in the title or message body. Search doesn't return this thread even when trying several different keywords. Here's another clue. It was posted in the Technical Support Forum by KMBALO. When you've finished searching, look here (http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum2/HTML/013535.html) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif [This message has been edited by Fingers (edited 03-23-2001).] Variable 03-23-2001, 02:31 PM I always get a server not found error page... SysOpt 03-23-2001, 10:13 PM Try searching only one forum at a time. It works fine for me. Variable 03-24-2001, 02:24 AM Still doesn't work most of the time. About 1 out of 10 tries works! And either lots of threads got deleted or just aren't found anymore.... ...this started slowly when sysopt moved to the new server. When I search for something it takes MINUTES and then I get a server not found error page! Fingers 03-24-2001, 05:21 AM It doesn't work for me either, although I was able to find my example by searching for the word "configuration" and restricting my search to only the Tech Support forum. Would a reasonable person try to find a thread about "Ramdrive" by typing "configuration" in the "search box"? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif Even searching for all messages by "KMBALO" in the Tech Support forum doesn't return that thread. I'm just using that particular thread as an example. My experience it that "Search" only returns the thread I'm looking for about 1 out of 4 times, even when I know 1 or more exact words or phrases that are in the thread. If I search multiple forums at once, the progress indicates that some matches are being found, but none are displayed when the query is finished. I hope thats not your solution to the problem ? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif KKF. SysOpt.com
