Everytime I restart windows xp it loads chkdsk and it checks my D: drive. My drive is fine so how do I stop XP from turning chkdsk on

maybe your drive really has some hidden problem you don't see/known

Schedule your D: drive to run a FULL scan once, with all the options enabled, and let it FInish

then it will never ask you again until the next failue it detects
