AMD1014 10-21-2002, 06:47 PM I use Acoustica mp3 burner to copy my mp3s but after i finish burning my disc it wont eject and i always have to restart my computer after burning. This is getting weird can someone help me out?:( Bovon 10-21-2002, 06:55 PM I don't have an answer, but I have read the same thing where others have had that happen. I do remember one guy opened Windows Explorer and right ckicked the drive letter and chose eject...that worked for him. That isn'r the solution of course, but I have some things that just quit responding at times, and a reboot is what it takes to get it going again. Windows apparently is loosing track of the files needed to run certain things. Can you run System File Checker?...or does your version of Windows have that...if it does, it will sometimes finger a corrupt file. I also have a thought that a ram module going flaky will cause such as that. AMD1014 10-21-2002, 06:57 PM Where is the System File Checker located in????? muchmark 10-21-2002, 07:07 PM One thing you could try is to open My Computer, right click on your burner and choose Eect. AMD1014 10-21-2002, 07:32 PM i tried that BobPar 10-21-2002, 08:42 PM I had a simular problem. Uninstall your burning software and remove the drive. restart system, shutdown, reinstall drive and boot computer, reinstall software. gibsinep 10-21-2002, 09:33 PM There is also another thread going about this, ( may help) Its right at the top of this page. :t nork 10-22-2002, 07:21 PM to get to system file checker go to start\programs\accessories\system tools\system info\tools\system file checker if that doesnt work, then in the same place, go to tools again and you can try inet xplorer re-install and version conflict mgr. $1500-P4 gamer 10-22-2002, 08:49 PM A) Is there a firmware revision for the cdrw? Somtimes this fixes these kindsa probs. B) Is your mobo bios up to date. Same as above... Sounds to me like its a conflict of your hardware and sotware OR its just a bum drive. I would personally try it in another known working system if you can. Install the cdr software and see what happens. If it ejects ok then I would reisntall you OS and everything. If it still wont eject after burning cds in your sys, I would try updating mobo bios. After that try cdrw firmware. If flashing make sure you know what you are doing first. I flashed my dvd the other day. Its not nearly as bad as most describe. Much like flashing a video card. Just know the FULL operation before getting started. Then you will be O.K. If not sure just ask us. Hope that was a little help. things like that can be a real pain in the ***** to trouble shoot. Just gotta keep trying dif stuff. Working with known and variables. Kinda like cars electronics somtimes, I hate trouble shooting these new cars------!:( alivin 10-23-2002, 11:31 PM I had the same prob and I have a philips cdrw .The only way I fixed it was to change from adaptec to Nero and In changing found Nero to be a much more reliable prog Good Luck :t :t mcjamesk 10-24-2002, 08:36 PM check for any updates for your burner software $1500-P4 gamer 10-25-2002, 05:22 AM And for firmware aswell. A flash might fix it.;) SysOpt.com
