It is a small thing but quite annoying when I do use my 'puter clock to try to get to meetings vaguely on time.

It loses about 10 minutes a week. Not a lot but if I don't use it for a couple of weeks and then find out I am 1/2hr late it is annoying.

Any ideas? I assume it is the battery but it is on for 16hrs a day and pugged into the socket 24/7. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Power management features often can cause problems with your computers clock. If you're using "Sleep" or "Standby" try disabling them and see if the problem stops.

Here's an article on how to trouble shoot a slow clock... maybe it will be helpful. http://www.pcnineoneone.com/howto/slowclock.html

If this is a big problem that you can't get resolved, there are many progams that can automatically syncronize your clock for you via the internet. I use one called AtomTime, but here's a link to another one called Tardis (http://www.kaska.demon.co.uk/)

It's a shame that a $1000+ computer can't even keep time as accurately as a cheap watch that came out of a gumball machine. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
