A couple of years a go I had freewwweb. I switched to a real ISP but it still stays ...provided by freewwweb at the top of the browser. I went in the regitstry and changed the value to what I wanted, but it still stays freewwweb. No matter what I do, it wont change on the top of the browser. How can it say something that's not in the regestery? How can I fix it? Thank you, Chris

Try Tweak Revisited.

I haven't used 3 but I know 1.6 and 2.0 work great.

Copy and past this into notepad save it with as Window Title.reg. Double click it to import it into your registry close your browser then open it and see what it says. I just did it and it does work.
Or you can just create the key while using regedit. If you do make sure there is a space between "Window" and "Title"
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Window Title"="Hacked by ME"
I could also upload the reg file if you wish.
DOH!! I should have taken a closer look at cad's post.

Chris did you check to see if the key I pointed out was there?
If it is not there it may also be here.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
I got this one from here (http://www.activewin.com/tips/reg/ie_4.shtml) but it did nothing for me.

Xteq works fine with IE4 but some window titlesin IE5 want except it. What I have done in the past is de-install 5 and change the title then re-install it.
