What happens if a P3 700MHz is installed on a board that specs a P2 or Celeron?

Means it probably won't work. P3's run on a socket 370. P2's ran the super 7 didn't they?

That board only supports up to 66mhz bus. it's a waste of time to try a pIII 700. The board probably doesn't support the proper voltage either (1.65-1.7v), so you would probably fry the cpu.

There were some slot1 PIIIs, but socket7 was only for Pentium I.

Yeah, it's a Slot 1 and most of the PII's were. I hadn't thought about the voltage.
