If it is here is how I did it. There might be a better way, but this is the only way I know. I started with two layers, the main picture in the back. Then in the second layer I color filled it with blue. Use whatever color you want. After that I took the eraser and customized a brush that had a low hardness and a semi-sized spacing. You should customize it the way it works best for you. Then I just erased the solid color in the specific spots so I could see the picture below it. Hope this helps. If you have any question just ask. LK seti 03-21-2001, 03:46 PM 'zactly. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Just put the pic over a layer that's filled white and use a soft eraser around the edges. I'm pretty sure you can use the ctrl key in conjuction with the eraser to erase in a straight line. grumpyglb 03-21-2001, 03:57 PM just draw an irregular shape around your pic with the lasso tool..Then inverse the lasso..then feather lasso with the feather tool set radius to around say 20 pixels.. then apply gradient tool .. set gradient tool to 'radial'..'foreground to transparent. any opacity you want..pin down gradient cusor in the middle of the pic and drag it to the outer edge..you will get the afect that you are looking for. (select your foreground to transparent colors in the color box. hope this helps. rh71 03-21-2001, 05:37 PM That is sweet, thanks for the help! http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/rh71el2/temp/simba.html rh71 03-22-2001, 12:35 AM How do I make faded borders on each side/corner of an image ? The background of the webpage is white so I'd like to fade any image's borders(especially if it's a dark color) into a white. Can you give me some quick instructions or point me to a tutorial? UPDATE: Here's what I mean: http://members.nbci.com/_XMCM/rh71el2/temp/huntquad.html [This message has been edited by rh71 (edited 03-21-2001).] SysOpt.com
