I need to find someone who will allow a mailbox to receive a document
larger than 5M. The current max size for messages on most servers seems
to be 5M. Probably 10M is what is needed. Alternate solutions like
breaking apart messages or FTPing just aren't an option.:t

Try using ICQ or another IM client. ;)

http://icq.com linkified :D
you may/will have problems sending and recieving files through ICQ if you have a router or are behind a gateway (ports thing)
why is FTP not an option?

Like FTP, it's not an option. The sender and recipient know how to send
an e-mail with an attachment, and hav eno desire to learn anything
different. As one said, why should either of us have to learn some new
skill just to send and receive large messages? Good point. I think the
new skill is valuable, They don't. So, I'm goign this route. :-);)

Might try zipping up the file.

Yes a popular method is to use .zip, .ace, or .rar
and those software will automatically CHOP OFF the big 10 meg files into small manageable sizes of 1 or 2 meg whichever you like
the feature is called SPANNING
