Hmmm, The Cleaner tells me this:
c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\mmf.sys
PROBLEM: Could not scan this file. Error Code = 32
SOLUTION: Inspect the file manually or ask for help.

I did a search for this file on Google, Yahoo and Metacrawler and didn't find a thing. Does anyone know what file this is and if I can delete? Thanks.

Do a right click, properties on that file to check its name and other characteristics. It might tell you what program it installed with.

Cause I don't have it.

Imperion1: Update! It doesn't show up in Explorer! Even when I set it to show hidden files...it just doesn't show. However, if I go to DOS and do a "dir /a mmf*.*" it shows up. If I try to copy it, I get a share violation. Ugh, this sucks! Probably is one of them stealth virii...and there's no way for anybody to check it cause I can't attach it to send to anyone!! :/

Are you running any office/windows programs? It might be a temporary windows/office program file that is showing up.

It's not on my W2K or WinMe systems.

Looks like another mystery file; web search and various virus db searches turn up zip. :/

I was doing searchs for this filename as well, here's what I found out so far.

I haven't found anything specific, but by doing searches on the HD, I found several other files with the exact same time of creation.

They were part of the ereg program from viatech. I had bought a zmud program, that used the viatech ereg, and this file was created at the same time as the other files from the ereg, so it is possible that it has something to do with it.

Anyone else have any ideas?
