local profile corrupted

when i logged into my pc it says that there is an error loading my local profile and that it may be corrupt.. does anyone know how i can fix this?

All that you can do is create a new one and then copy the contents of your old one to it. Look in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator

Yup i nuked mine on saturday - login to another profile, create a new profile and copy across the remnants of the corrupt profile to that one.

Then go about resetting your personal settings etc and reinstall any items of software (eg MS offic, PSP 7) that were dependant upon that profile, im afraid :(

Doesnt take too long though :)

yes is so annoying when this happens

luckly i have my Ghosted images every 2 week or so

so i don't need to create a new profile and do all the heavy works of transfering settings :t

kk i just drag and dropped everything from old profile to new.. this sucks :p

Yup - time to start re constructing your desktop, thmes etc etc.. a real waste of time.. didnt half get on my nerves when i had to :mad:

Oh well - it needs to be done i guess :)
