Let us clarify "better". Better, meaning what? Better 3D Mark scores? Then I'd say the 40.xx. Better, as in tested for stability, and the to M$ all-important blanket-compatability, then I'd have to say 30.82. Personally, I thought the 40.52 and 40.71 were nice, and the 3D Mark scores were 600+ points higher than the 30.odd.

All round better, well except for stabilty(40.72 in Beta)
So I won't include that part.
Eveything other than stability then....

In that case: 40's

I have a geforce 2 ti. The new 40.xx drivers were made for geforce 3 and up. They don't work to good with my card. I can't even run 3dmark with them:rolleyes:

But remember they are still Beta, maybe they work when they get WHQL Cert.

It depends.. for my mx400 the 21.81's seemed the best, while the 30.82's are the most stable and compatible ive come across for both cards...

...i did notice some slight gains from the 40.xx's but notin earth shattering from my ti4200, and they had problems with Champ Manager :(

...I'll wait for the WHQL to come through though and snap em up as soon as they go official - remember every little bit helps in the quest for FPS' ;)

Reason I ask, is because I have went and bought UT2k3.
Fantastic game(Don't care what others may think)
And I wanted to know what you superb folks here thought the best drivers would be.
Can anyone else help?
Cheers...:p

I like the newest 40.72's.... I've gotten the best performance with them, and thus far, absolutly no stability issues or any type of graphical glitches to report.

Gee whiz. I just installed the 30.82 drivers on all my Nvidia cards. :)

I guess I was thinking that WHQL would be the best. Those are the last ones to receive that distinction, right? Or, did I miss something?

Yeah. Me neither, Ramon. They have been good so far. Much better than the Det. 20's for me.
