Any (yuk)Presario owners here who miraculously got the Compaq proprietary Firewire port on the front to actually work? Is it supposed to display in 98se Device Manager? Premiere and Videowave III software both loaded and trying to firewire the new Sony Digital 8 camcorder, and the only port recognized is USB on the back side of the case. Btw I use a fresh copy of 98se, not the bloated Compaq restore OS and have DirectX8 and the Digital Video(DV) patch.(Athlon 700, FIC SD11, 128k, 40g, TNT2) Do you think an additional capture card is mandatory? Any suggestions?
