Try the " Security Check" and you can get the Anti-virus software on a trial basis. This should get you started in the right direction http://www.symantec.com/securitycheck/

I suggest downloading The Cleaner (http://www.moosoft.com/) and running a scan.

Do you have ZoneAlarm? Check outgoing requests.

She knows of what she speaks! I followed her advice and found a "Rats" nest (ok small pun inteneded) They were the "rat" type.. No offence to OUR Rat...
Norton couldn't get rid em or didn't find em all... Here's a little discussion we just had.

Well... I Have been using DSL for almost a year now, and i have never used anything like ZoneAlarm. I don't really run any anti-virus, unless i install some "creepy" software (only had a virus once, my own bad - email attachment, the .pif ending made me curious)

Maybe i should download ZoneAlarm... just to make sure...

Well, I use Zone Alarm Pro at work and Black Ice Defender at home. Both are good programs and neither has allowed GRC.com or any other test program to get in to my servers. The Cleaner has given me a good bill of health. I use Outlook Express for my Mediaone email and my Hotmail accounts. No one has ever received a "hot" email from me nor I from anyone else. The best policy is to delete anything with an attachment without opening it. If it is really important for you to look at something from a colleague, they can send you a seperate email telling you the specifics of the next one so you can feel relatively safe looking at it. Common sense says that if you receive an email with the subject, "Hey, wanna see my shamrock?" you delete without opening.
