There is a potentially destructive virus reported by Symantec. It is not widespread in the industry at this time The following is an excerpt from Symantec:

W32.Magistr.24876@mm is a virus with email worm capability. It is also network aware. It infects all files that are not DLL system files, and sends email messages to addresses that it gathers from the Windows Address Book, Outlook Express Sent Items file, and Netscape Address Book. The email message may have up to six attachments and has a randomly generated subject line.

I never open attachments from anyone. I got a virus last October from opening up a Rated X Simpsons Comic a friend sent me that a friend sent her, that was sent and so on and so on, you could see the string of addresses it came from and was going! It was the Junkie Boot Virus, What a mess!
