I have an old Matrox Rainbow Runner Studio, with Mystique 220 video board.

I want to give to my kid nephew, but his computer has Windows XP, and Matrox says they do not have drivers for XP.

Has anyone found a way around this?

I doubt you are going to have any luck with that one.
XP has drivers for the Mystique, but not the RRS.
Your best bet is to check the desktop video forum at forums.matroxusers.com.

it doesn't work you can only use it in WinME/98/95 :t

it's yet another evil way for companies to make more money by forcing you to buy new software and new hardware

Allgamer - I now have Matrox RT 2000, and it's a great platform.

But yes, they force you to buy extra products, and I have to say that sucks.

I got a lot of work/learning out of RRS, and 3 years ago it cost me close to $400.

Krusin - matroxusers.com bluntly put that their programers will not develop XP drivers for RRS.

Go figure.........

matroxusers (MURC) is not Matrox, but a user group.
Someone there might have a workaround. I know some of the guys there have gotten their RR-G to work with XP, so it's possible (though I think unlikely) that someone got an RRS to work...

Sorry I misunderstood matroxusers for Matrox forum. That's great, you are giving me a ressucitation shot. I thought i was going to burn the boards, hopefully not..........
