Ok what I need to do is copy 1 hard drive to the other one. And keep the volume ID. Is there any software out there that will do this for me? Or any other way to get this done?

You can use Nortons Ghost and clone the HDD or otherwise you can try Power Quest Drive Image Pro. Both are good. Dos interface.

Pretty simple.

I have not seen where they say that they get the HDD volume ID as a part of the process.
I have some software that requires the volume ID of the hdd for the lisense to be good. So it is very important that it has that feature.
