Server help

I got bored today so I thought I would redo an old file server. Loaded .NET Standard Server OS on it. Enabled IIS. People can download the files they need over the internet but how do I set up a webpage on it? For files it's not asking for a user name, password, nor domain. But to get into a folder it wants all the above. All I want to do is host my site from it and maybe a few links to some of the shared files on there. Can anyone know of a site that maybe will hold my hand on this? LOL Or am I thinking it's harder than what it is.

I think I figured it out... I can now see the parent dir and files that are shared.. No to see if there is a creative side in me or not... Maybe boredom isn't so bad!

Ughhh! Can someone try this site.. The page is a basic plain one but hey I have no creativity! I'm wanting to know if anything else can be accessed. Oh it's slow! (http://64.58.76.230)

AG the suggestion of the no IP is still in debate.. Not sure if I want to go that route or just keep it like a file server and if peopl eneed some files on it just send them a link to what they need. But I'm sure as boredom get's me introuble I'll end up going that route! LOL..

I see alot of traffic on the site.. Not sure if it's from the internet or the intranet. Is there a way to see which it's coming from? I told the wife what I was doing and told her there was a picture on there that would prove that someone made it in if they were nice enough to say something about it.. So she was playing with it trying to see if she could find out how bad to kill me if someone does! LMAO

yes a firewall software will show who came in

or also the logs files themself

if you are in a router then is even easier by enabling the router loggin :t

Can anyone for the next thirty minutes download a couple of shareware files from here (http://64.58.76.230/) and tell me what kind of download speeds they are getting? For some strange reason my uploads seem faster than they were a week ago.

That's all of them together :D

Yes that sounds about rite to me

cuz i did the DL for all of them in 1 mouse click so the speed divided up between all the files :t
